Hello, We are Tom and Cheryl Cowart, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, now living in Winchester, Tennessee. We work together as Decorative Painters and Wallpaper Hangers. We enjoy our work and our home here in Winchester, a peaceful valley on the Cumberland Plateau, between Chattanooga and Nashville.
Tom and Cheryl Cowart
Some background on Cheryl Cowart:
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Donald and Arlene Jaccard, December 6, 1947. My parents moved our family to Southern California in February, 1949, because my mother was sickly and the Doctor told my father that she would do better in a warm climate.
We settled in the Burbank/Glendale area of Los Angeles county. I grew up there and attended both parochial schools, and public schools in Burbank and also Glendale, where I graduated from High School at Herbert Hoover High School in June of 1965.
I was married to my first husband, GySgt Ernest Lee Pace, a Marine, and became a service wife, in 1966. My husband was ordered to Vietnam where he served as a Vietnamese interpreter/interrogator, and did two tours there and was present when Saigon fell, and was one of the last persons to be evacuated from the Embassy. We divorced in 1983.
I am the mother of three sons, Randy, Christian and Nathaniel*. I am very proud of all of them!
Randy lives with his wife Michelle in Glendora, California, and have two children, Randy, Jr., and Tayler. They are very sweet and special children!
Christian lives in North Bend, Washington and is busy with his life in one of the most beautiful places in America.
*My youngest son, Nathaniel, who was 26 years old, loved music and life. His life was sadly cut short in a tragic auto accident in Dunlap, Tennessee on March 12, 2000. His loss is one we will never heal from. I can only hope that we will grow to live with this tremendous loss and sorrow.
Nat (center) and his Band
Nat was a husband, father and an accomplished musician and artist. His greatest joy was his son, Spencer.
Spencer Douglas Pace
His art was expressed in both music and his work, which was in faux ornamental concrete finishing. He also was an accomplished Paper hanger and faux painter.
He leaves many friends and loved ones, and will be sadly missed by all.I met my second and present husband Tom in 1985, through my church affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). If you are interested in learning more about the LDS Church, you can go to this link: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Some of my interests are:
Reading Anne Rice and Stephen King novels, my grandkids, my church and Bible and Book of Mormon Study; my three little four-legged kids, Cloe (a little yorkie-poo), Dazy (a Boston Terrior-mostly terror),and Boo (our orange tabby cat-also a terror!)
Baking is one of my passions, and I especially like to specialize in home-style pastries. One of my dreams is to open up a Bakery one day, and work at what I love to do.
I also have a Family Genealogy Website created for me, by my brother Ken Jaccard, who is the webmaster. I would like it if you'd visit this Website when you have a chance:

Some background on my husband, Thomas Cowart:
Tom was born in Ringgold, Georgia, a small town on the Georgia/Tennessee border, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born at home on the 30th day of May, 1940 to Mary Hudson and Robert Leonard Cowart. He attended local schools, and graduated from Ringgold High School, in June, 1959.
Ringgold is a famous little town, for it was here, that the "Little General", the famous locomotive, was captured by Union forces during the Battle of Chickamauga, during the Civil War. A matter of fact, the whole area of the Chattanooga Valley is a very historic area for you Civil War buffs.
The only reason that Sherman didn't burn down the courthouse (Catoosa County seat) at Ringgold was because that's where the Masons held their meetings, and General Sherman was a Free Mason.
Tom was married in 1959, to Jackie Crutchfield, a graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They had two children, Tamara Lynn "Cowart" Carter who lives in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Thomas Robert Cowart Jr., who continues to live in Chattanooga. Tom and Jackie divorced in 1961.
Tom had a son from another relationship, John Hindman. Unfortunately he lost this son, to kidney failure, December, 1998, 3 days before his 20th birthday.
Tom's interests include fly fishing, Golf, wood working and furniture refinishing. He also loves to eat good southern food, so he's an accomplished cook! :o) (I love to cook too :).
He has worked all his professional career as a professional faux painter and wallpaper hanger, having worked under the tutorship of his late father, Robert Leonard Cowart. He has been working in this field for over 30 years, and is a Master in his trade. Please visit Tom's Business Website by clicking the faux graphic.
