As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have always known the importance of researching and recording my family's genealogy. Genealogy is an intrical part of the Latter Day Saints doctrine as we believe that linking the "ties that bind" are necessary to creating an eternal family. Genealogy is the first step in binding up the hearts of all our generations. However, it was not until the death of my son, Nathaniel Ethan Pace, in 2000, that I felt the motivation to begin this research. Out of love for him, and for his little son, Spencer, I decided that I could no longer procrastinate this important work. "We who had to live without him in time-would not have to live without him in eternity"- this was my thinking, and so I began my journey into the world of genealogy.

It didn't take long for me to realize that I was being lead by angels from on high because, before long, I was finding names of ancestors; not 4 or 5 or even 8 generations back, but 13 and 14 generations back. Not only was I finding ancestors, but also living members of this prolific family were finding me. People I had no clue existed were coming forward to show their connection to the Jaccard-Wolfgram & Family Histories. Imagine my excitement to learn of these new aunts and uncles and cousins, etc, etc. My beloved father, who has already gone home to the Lord, would have been amazed to find out he had an older brother and a younger sister and brother he never knew about, not to mention all of their children and grandchildren. The SPIRIT that moves this quest that is my genealogy is truly amazing!!!

The sorrow that was the loss of my sweet son's spirit in this lifetime has, miraculously, turned into the joy of knowing that he and I, along with all of our family members, will be together throughout eternity. I thank my Father in Heaven for all the help and guidance He has giving me in this labor of love and in every aspect of my life. I am committed to Him and to this marvelous work. There is still so much to do…………………………….
